Sarcoma is a rare cancer that affect the connecting tissues of your body. In other words this cancer will affect those tissues in your body that support or connect other kind of tissues of the system. Some of the most common areas where these tumors can occur are bones, muscles, cartilage, nerves, and blood vessels in your arms and legs.

Being said that one should understand that these tumors can still occur anywhere in the body. There are more than 50 types of sarcoma cancer recorded till now which are grouped into two main categories. These categories are soft tissue sarcoma and bone sarcoma. The more common kind of category that affects us is soft tissue.

The most common symptom of soft tissue sarcoma is painless lump on your body. Although it is not possible to detect this type of cancer before hand as there are very less visible symptoms. These painless lumps at a later stage might start pressing against your nerves and organs which makes them detectable as you start having trouble breathing or might feel uncomfortable.

For those of you who are suffering from bone sarcoma, the most common symptom would be off and on pain in the affected bones. These pains might get worse at night or during rainy season. Apart from this affected body parts can also start swelling up which may last for a long time. If the cancer has affected your leg bone then an individual might also start limping.
